Hien Hoang
Director
Hien Hoang is the Director of PTAS Accountants and a Fellow Certified Practising Accountant (FCPA) and Registered Tax Agent.
She works closely with individuals, families, business owners, investors, and self-managed super funds, helping them navigate their tax and accounting obligations with confidence.
Hien believes accounting is about more than compliance. Her focus is on providing practical advice, clear communication and proactive tax planning to help clients make informed decisions, minimise tax and achieve their long term financial goals.
Whether assisting with tax compliance, business advisory, tax planning, estate matters or SMSF services, Hien is committed to delivering personalised solutions and building long term client relationships.
Brian Spurrell
Founder & Consultant
Brian founded PTAS Accountants and brings decades of experience in accounting, taxation, business advisory, and education. He holds tertiary qualifications in business, education, and psychology, and lectured in accounting and strategic business management at Swinburne University for over 30 years. His career also includes extensive consulting experience in industry, business ownership, and seven years as a Director of Tax and Super Australia (formerly Taxpayers Australia). Brian was also a regular contributor to the local community newspaper, writing articles on taxation and business issues for more than six years.
Brian is a Fellow CPA and continues to support PTAS as a Consultant, providing valuable technical expertise and strategic guidance.
